Exercises are collections of Questions designed by professors for students to demonstrate or practice their knowledge in the course material. The contents of Exercises can be added and changed by professors on the Edit page. Settings for Exercises, such as whether and when students are able to work on them, can be set on the Assignment Settings page.
There are five types of exercises that EduRITA supports:
Professors can view the grades for students in an Exercise on the View Grades page, and review the answers that students have submitted for Questions on the Review Answers page. Students are able to review their answers for exercises on the same page, after the deadline or late deadline has passed and after the show solution time has passed as set by the professor in the Assignment Settings page.
All Exercises that are not Practice exercises have a weight to them that can be set on the Assignment Settings page. These weights are used to create a weighted sum of the grades for every exercise in a course to create final grades for students.
