¶ Navigating to the page
- From the Dashboard, go to either the Homework & Quizzes tab or the In Class Exercises tab
- Create a new Exercise or edit an existing exercise
- From the Edit page, Click New → Question → Written Response
¶ Using the page
Written Response questions provide a larger text input for students to give longer answers. This can be useful for paragraph or essay questions.
The Written Response question does not have any settings. The Correct answer can either be True (Yes) or False (No).
EduRITA does not currently have a method to automatically grade Written Response questions, so professors will need to review the answers and mark these questions manually.

Select between the Default, Underline, and Border styles.
¶ Font Size
The font size of the text in the answer input.
¶ Line Padding
Used to control the roundness of the answer input.
¶ Examples
Written Response Questions are not marked automatically, the answers instead need to be evaluated by the professor after submission.
